Report on the tourism stakeholder innovation network development in Vrnjačka Banja

As a result of the activities carried out within the “Empowering Open Innovation Tourism Networks” project, the collaborative innovation network in Vrnjačka Banja has undergone positive structural and organisational changes. Key project activities – including knowledge exchange on best practices from innovative tourism networks in the Visegrad region, the organisation of a hackathon at the Faculty of Hotel Management and Tourism in Vrnjačka Banja, a series of stakeholder engagement meetings, and the launch of an open innovation platform – have strengthened collaboration among tourism stakeholders in Vrnjačka Banja, expanded the network, and fostered a more open, participatory innovation ecosystem.

By comparing the current network structure with the baseline assessment carried out at the start of the project, this report traces the evolution of stakeholder relationships in relation to innovation collaboration. The findings indicate a shift from a relatively centralised, institution-driven network to a more cohesive, resilient, and distributed innovation ecosystem. Building on these findings, the report presents updated recommendations for further strengthening the collaborative innovation network in Vrnjačka Banja.
